Overview

Main:

The MAG-1000GC Gold Edition is an ultra-accurate version of the MAG-1000G with the addition of a carbide support shaft. The MAG-1000GC is for people who need the best of the best. It is great for people balancing items that are heavier and require greater accuracy, such as: circular saws, impellers, propellers, engine flywheels, etc.

The GOLD EDITION celebrates over 50 years of the MAG-1000 balancer.

Features:

The benefit of the carbide shaft is that for blades or objects to be balanced that have a weight of 10 lbs and greater.  When an object weighs greater than 10 lbs it creates deflection in the support shaft (spindle).  This will affect the accuracy of the balance indication (reading).  Lawn mower blades generally do not exceed much past 3.5 lbs, so the MAG-1000GC is often purchased for circular saw blades and other objects, however even with parts under 10 lbs the MAG-1000GC will provide the most accurate readings of the MAG-1000 series balancers.

MAG-Superiority

MAG-Superiority:

The MAG-1000GC is the first and only in the industry to provide a level of accuracy in a static rotational blade balancing instrument.

ABILITY
Balance any rotational object with a concentric center hole with a diameter of 5/16" to 1-1/2". The MAG-1000 series also has a guage rod to check the straightness/flatness. The MAG-1000 series can also be used for balancing circular saw blades, props, engine flywheels, and much more

DESIGNED TO PERFORM
The MAG-1000 series has a hard chrome plated cone for lasting quality, and to quickly locate the concentric center point of the lawn mower blade. Its ultra-accurate slide allows for an accurate magnetic chuck able to solidly hold the part being balanced.

SAFETY
MAGNA-MATIC balancers have permanent magnets with a magnetic pull in excess of 150 lbs. This ensures that the lawn mower blade you are balancing on a MAGNA-MATIC balancer will not fall off, and create an accident.

QUALITY
The MAG-1000 series static rotational balancer is made of the highest quality materials and machining standards to provide you with a long lasting tool of instrument quality.

Using a nail-in-the-wall method to try and balance a lawn mower blade is always a waste of time because the balance reading is not consistent.

The nail-in-the-wall measure of balance is so inaccurate that it simply has no value in reducing blade vibration.

Consistent accurate balance measure can only be obtained at the “center-of-rotation” i.e. in the center of the lawn mower blade’s mounting hole.

Using the plastic table-top-stepped-cone is an attempt to improve the balance reading consistency over the nail-in-the-wall method.

The table-top-stepped-cone is also inaccurate because the steps never locate the center of the hole.

Consistent accurate balance measure can only be obtained at the “center-of-rotation” i.e. in the center of the lawn mower blade’s mounting hole.
